Frequently asked questions

What is wall printing?

Wall printing is a cutting-edge technique that allows high-resolution designs, images, and patterns to be printed directly onto walls and other vertical surfaces. Unlike traditional painting or wallpaper, wall printing uses specialized inkjet technology to create detailed and durable prints directly on the surface. The printing process involves UV-curable inks, which adhere to surfaces and cure instantly under ultraviolet light, ensuring vibrant colours and long-lasting results.

What surfaces can be printed on?

We can print on any flat surface, including plaster, concrete, brick, metal, wood, glass, including textured surfaces.

How much does it cost?

We price each project individually, with costs starting from £100 per square meter. The final price depends on the size of the print, its colours, the type of wall, and the location. For projects beyond 10 miles from MK45 1RX, an additional travel charge of £0.75 per mile applies. Please note that services like furniture moving, removal of previous paint or wallpaper, and wall surface preparation are not included in the price. If you require these services, kindly inform us during the consultation for a tailored quote.

Indoors: 8 years without fading.

What image resolution is required?

For stunning, high-quality prints, the resolution of your image plays a crucial role. To ensure crisp details and vibrant results:

- Photos & Graphics: A resolution of at least 1500×1500 px per 1m² surface is ideal.
- Logos & Text: A minimum of 1000×1000 px is recommended for clear and sharp lettering.
- Viewing Distance: If the print will be seen from afar, a lower resolution may still achieve great results.

The overall print quality depends heavily on the original image, so we suggest using files with a resolution of 300 dpi or higher for the best outcome.

Does the wall colour matter?

For the best results, printing on a white wall ensures optimal vibrancy and clarity. However, printing on coloured walls is absolutely possible—an initial layer of white is applied first to maintain the integrity and brilliance of the design.

Can the wall printer print on textured or uneven surfaces like brick walls?

Yes, the wall printer can print directly on textured or brick walls. Equipped with two sensors, the printhead maintains a constant distance from the surface. It also automatically adjusts by moving forward and backward up to 10cm to adapt to wall variations.
